The EKFS’s goal in the humanitarian field is to improve healthcare for people in developing countries on a sustainable basis. Alongside direct medical assistance for patients and measures towards improving medical infrastructures, EKFS places an emphasis on supporting programmes for the training and professional advancement of skilled personnel in the healthcare sector.
The EKFS would like to achieve three things via its active commitment: to directly help as many patients as possible on a local scale, to train as many qualified professionals as possible, and to create an environment that motivates and encourages them to stay in their country.

KnowTheGlow (KTG) is a global nonprofit awareness organization that aims to globally eliminate preventable childhood blindness by raising public awareness of the dangers of finding the Glow (leukocoria) in dim lighting or flash photos of children's eyes. We aim to educate the public about the more than twenty different eye diseases the glow can indicate through internationally translated awareness campaigns and to simultaneously highlight the doctors, researchers, and NGOs supporting families diagnosed with these conditions. Additionally, KTG looks to collaborate with like minded organizations offering materials to assist in early detection and childhood vision screening.
